The WordPress plugin that I found useful is the WPS Hide Login.
It’s a very useful plugin for me because it allows me easily and safely change the url of the login page to any url I want. Unless I want someone to login to my website, I can change the url to something that is super complicated such that it will be nearly impossible for anyone to mess with my website and do something unexpected.
After successfully installed the plugin from the market, I activated it and went to setting to change my login url to https://cs272-wordpress.cs.wisc.edu/f24/hli2225/?secretlogin.
Right now this website is only accessible through UW Madison network, so I’m not very concerned about its security. But later when I deploy WordPress to the World Wild Web, I will definitely use this plugin, and if I ever want someone to login to comment, I will use another plugin called Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection to filter out any spam comments.
